“I started my training in NY back in 1980 as an apprentice locksmith for one of the oldest established locksmith businesses on Staten Island. I then finished my apprenticeship in 1983, becoming a fully qualified locksmith holding a New York State licence.
My duties then moved into door repair and hanging new doors, installing door closers, low-voltage electrical strikers, deadlocks, small alarm systems, and re-keying many different locks, as well as opening and repairing car locks.
I then ventured into the US Navy and spent 4 years on active duty; 1 year on an aircraft carrier being the ship’s locksmith, and 3 years on shore duty.
